Is Communication In Marriage Important To You?

Filed under: marriages, love, relatiohships — sheghan @ 1:24 am

You probably wouldn’t be reading this article if communication in marriage wasn’t important to you. So I’ll take that premise and understand what you need to do in order to make your marriage relationship survive for a long time.

A marriage is a relationship in which there is a lot of give and take on both sides. There are a lot of compromises that must be made by both of you and really one can’t be right and the other wrong.

This article will go into some psychological aspects at what makes a good marriage and how the role of communication plays in having a healthy relationship marriage for you.

Successful marriages are based on healthy relationships where each others viewpoints are listened too and registered to one another. No doubt that no two people can agree on every single thing in life. There will be differences no matter how hard you try to be compatible.

The secret is in coping with each other and letting each other know how each other words and actions affect the person.

Marriage communications revolves around in how effective are each person in letting it out and understanding the emotional effects.

So what exactly is communication that allows each other to express themselves freely without free of retribution? It’s when each other knows that the words and actions that each of you use is understood not to be vindictive or hurtful in any manner. This will take time and a lot of talking to get these issues out in the open. But once these issues are out then each other must understand the situation and insure that no harm was meant surprise_her.png .marriage_-_hands1.jpg

The interpretation of communication between you too must be understood in order to have a successful dialogue.

The signs of a healthy relationship include the ability to resolve conflicts when they occur and to not linger on for hours or days or even weeks. If a conflict last that long, it’s only because one or the other is not letting it out and letting the other person know how hurtful they feel. If you keep your emotions inside then no one will be able to help you.

So now you see that communication in marriage is a two way street in which both partners must help and understand each other.

Which Countries Grow The Best Coffee Beans?

Filed under: coffee — sheghan @ 1:19 am

If you are like me and you love coffee, you are probably consistently searching for that perfect cup. Well, the perfect cup starts with the perfect bean. And the perfect bean is largely based upon the combination of soil quality and climate. So when you think of the perfect country for coffee bean growth what comes to mind? Probably, somewhere tropical. A place with regular rain and sun. If you are like most people you will undoubtedly say “Brazil”. It’s true, Brazil is the biggest dog on the block accounting for a whopping one-third of all coffee bean production. Its climate is ideal for coffee bean production. It’s no wonder they hold top spot. But, do they make the best bean?

Ironically, coffee bean production did not start in Brazil. It actually began in Ethiopia. Even though they can still be seen there they’re popularity has spread. Today you can find coffee beans being produced in many countries throughout the free world. Matter of fact, there are now about seventy some countries officially growing coffee beans. Unfortunately, only a few of these countries actually have the most ideal situation for producing beans of a high quality. Aside from Brazil, some of the most popular destinations for coffee bean production are Columbia, Indonesia, Hawaii and Mexico.

We must not forget that aside from climate and soil quality, the altitude at which beans are grown has a significant impact on their quality. The higher they are grown the better. With this in mind we must give some attention to Columbia. They certainly produce some of the best beans in the world. However, its poor economy and underdeveloped infrastructure makes transport to processing plants difficult. Therefore, I am sure we are not seeing the best that that country has to offer.steaming-mug-coffee_15376-88fl.jpg

If you have ever had Hawaiian coffee, you probably will swear up and down that it is the best in the world. Well you could be right. Even though they don’t produce large quantities Hawaii’s volcanic ash, large amounts of rainfall and hot sweltering sun create the perfect environment for production. There is, also, probably something to the small quantities they produce. The small crafted feel no doubt enhances Hawaii’s mystic as a supreme coffee bean producer. Much like we see here in the states with regards to small-batch Bourbons.

Lastly, a very popular place that could possibly win the best coffee bean award would have to be Indonesia. The countries humid climate is ripe for perfect growth. Also, they have taken the production of coffee beans to new heights. They use very advanced technologies that help them grow beans in remote places like Java and Sulawesi. Coffee is so popular from this area that we often euphemistically refer to our coffee as a “Cup of Java”.

Is Customer Service Disappearing?

Filed under: customer service — sheghan @ 12:50 am

cc.jpgCustomer service seems to be a remnant of the past, especially when it comes to getting help on the telephone. Nowadays telephone customer service consists of a prerecorded voice with endless prompts. You have to go through ten minutes of craziness before you get to a real live person. With all the outsourcing, you may even be talking to someone in another country. Some companies are using the personal service as a marketing tool, this is quit perplexing.

People use to go out to eat because of the good service. However, restaurant service has diminished drastically. Waiters still work for their tips, but it seems as though they are not as attentive. Once you have been seated, you are at their mercy. But every once in awhile you can stumble upon an eatery that has good service, they tend to be locally owned restaurants, where word of mouth is extremely important. Fast food restaurants have become even worse. They just want to move you through as fast as possible. They used to always say, please and thank you, but not anymore.

Another change in customer service is within the retail market. Self service has become prevalent, especially when it comes to buying groceries. There are less checkout lines with real people. Instead, they have the self serve checkouts with an automated voice. Throughout the grocery store there are little computers that check prices, and vending machines for stamps, coins, and soda. These are all self serve. There is however, still a customer service desk where you can pay bills, cash checks, and leave customer complaints.

Customer service for leisure looking around in department stores and clothing chains has changed as well. There used to be great personal service, so going out to shop on your own was a lot of fun. There was always someone there to help you. For instance, if you needed a pair of pants in a different size or an opinion about how something looked an associate was ready to help. There seems to be less sales people, and they are busy doing other things. Boutiques usually have better service, because they are small and privately owned. They take the time to get to know you for repeat business.

Customer service in the service sector has become rather contradictory. There are certain service sectors that take advantage of us. The automobile, plumbing, and the appliance industry are in this special sector. It is because we need them, they are a necessity, and they know this. Good service is not a priority. We all dread the day when our car starts to act up and we know we have to take it in to get fixed. Most of us have the basic knowledge about cars, but we are still at the mercy of the mechanics. We make erroneous transferred phone calls just to find out what the problem is. Then we have to haggle about the price, and most often get a second opinion, because unfortunately there is an unscrupulous and fraudulent practice in this sector. Believe it or not, during dire circumstances price gauging is not uncommon. The government is also part of this special sector. We all must follow their laws and guidelines, but they do not make it easy for us - take the department of motor vehicles. The lines are arduous and we are confused about what documentation we need. The government is taking steps to stop the illegal practices regarding fraud and price gauging, however they really have not taken steps to better their own service sectors. Service is regrettably becoming a remnant of the past, but with good and dedicated leadership we can bring it back to the forefront.
